Free player we use to sync everyone. Install it, then turn on the web interface:
In VLC: Tools → Preferences → Show settings: All → Interface → Main interfaces: check Web → Lua → Lua HTTP port: 8080. Restart VLC.
For each screening you’ll get a secret link (from the host or Discord, etc.). That page has the movie download and the exact time. No screening yet? You’re just setting up — the link will come when there’s a show.
Download the app, open it, and leave it open. No settings — it’s already pointed at the club. Your VLC will follow the host’s play/pause and position.
Make sure VLC is open with a video (and HTTP on port 8080). The app will close itself after an hour if there’s no sync activity.
Host? You control playback from the admin — you’ll get the link when you log in.
